Weezy's Sentence Delayed Again!

Lil Wayne’s sentencing has been delayed for a third time! The rapper is now scheduled to go before the judge next Monday. Weezy has already pleaded guilty to gun possession and is expected to draw a one year bid. He was supposed to sentenced last month, but the date was moved back a few weeks so that Wayne could get dental surgery (his platinum and diamond grillz caused major decay requiring eight root canals). Then, Wayne was to be sentenced on Tuesday of this week but that was interrupted by a fire in the courthouse basement. Court officials said Tuesday that Wayne would be sentenced Wednesday (yesterday) but that didn’t happen either. The Manhattan District Attorney now confirms that Weezy new sentencing date is next Monday, March 8.
Hours after his sentencing was delayed due to fire, Lil Wayne made a surprise appearance onstage with Jay-Z and Young Jeezy. New York fans went berserk when Wayne came out to rock “I’m Goin’ In” alongside Jay, Jeezy, Nicki Minaj and Drake.

Keyshia Cole Gives Birth!

Keyshia Cole had her baby on Tuesday: a 7-pound, 3-ounce boy who’s been named after his father, Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson. The birth was confirmed by Keyshia’s rep who issued this statement yesterday: “Both mother and baby are doing great. The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time. Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist.”

Guru Speaks After Surgery

Rap icon Guru spoke out for the first time yesterday as he continues to recuperate from a heart attack and successful surgery. The ex-Gang Starr emcee released a brief statement advising the public to beware of Internet rumors and to consult with his business partner, Solar, for the facts. Guru’s statement says: “I am doing fine and I am recovering! I’m weak though. Solar is the only person who has the accurate info on my situation. Any info from anybody else is false! I appreciate your well wishes and all the love!”
Solar co-signed Guru’s statement by saying: “Guru is resting and doing well after his surgery. The doctors say that he will fully recover from his illness. We thank everyone who send prayers our way and we appreciate the outpouring of love from around the world!”
Solar can be reached by contacted through his publicity firm, Yo-Pr.com.

T.I.'s Clothing Line Coming Down?

A racy billboard for T.I.’s clothing line has been removed from a downtown corner in Newark, New Jersey. The ad for AKOO jeans featured a woman kneeling in front of a man and pulling down his unbuckled pants. Residents, community activists and local government officials complained that the billboard’s suggestive imagery did not belong on a public street where it could be viewed by people of all ages. Newark Mayor Corey Booker instructed the city’s Office of Corporation Counsel to look into options for removing the billboard. On Monday, the advertising company responsible for billboard defended the ad, saying that it did not violate the firm’s standards for decency. But now, the company has agreed to take the sign down.

Rihanna Sued?

Rihanna is being sued for allegedly not paying her personal trainer. Cindy Percival says Rihanna owes her over $26,000 for workouts in September and October of 2009. She says the “Rude Boy” singer agreed to pay her $1,500 per day! On top of that, Percival accompanied Rihanna and still waiting to be reimbursed for $2,644.14 in travel expenses.

Ne-Yo Scared Of The Biz?

Ne-Yo feels honored to be included in Cosmopolitan magazine’s “Fun Fearless Men” issue. But he’s not sure that the second category applies to him. When asked if he’s more fun or fearless, Ne-Yo said, “Probably more fun, because I deal with fear all the time. This business is very scary.”

Paul Wesley of “The Vampire Diaries” said he gets scared too easily to be considered fearless. In fact, Wesley even frightens himself sometimes! The TV bloodsucker told MTV: “I’m gonna go with fun, because I get terrified pretty easily. For example, on the series, they put some vampire makeup on me sometimes, and then I’ll go to lunch and I’ll forget that it’s on. Then I’ll look in the mirror and have a mini heart attack.”
In addition to Ne-Yo and Wesley, Cosmo’s “Fun Fearless Men” are Terrell Owens, Gerard Butler, Kellan Lutz, Chris O’Donnell, Nathan Fillion, Stephen Moyer, Josh Schwartz and Ed Westwick.

Guru's Surgery A Success!

Gang Starr rapper Guru is recuperating from heart surgery, but he remains in a medically-induced coma. Guru’s longtime partner, DJ Premier, tweeted yesterday: “Good news: guru surgery was successful, keep sending him love.”

Premier followed up with a second tweet saying: “Guru still in a med induced coma, he’s breathing with machine help. And please reporters don’t copy without care. Pray.”

Jay-Z Confirms Collab

Jay-Z has confirmed rumors that that he has teamed up with Young Jeezy and Trey Songz for a super-trio called the Mob Squad. Hov told an Atlanta radio station that he’s refining a song that Trey created. Jay-Z doesn’t think Jeezy has heard the track yet, so he plans to surprise him soon. No word on a release date for the Mob Squad joint, but Jay says we can expect it soon. Jay-z and Young Jeezy also greeted Dj Green Lantern to Atlanta radio.

Guru Slipped Into A Coma!

Guru of the groundbreaking hip hop group Gang Starr slipped into a coma after suffering a massive heart attack over the weekend. He is in a New York hospital surrounded by family members including his sister, Tricia, who said, “The family is handling it the best they can.”
Guru’s Gang Starr partner, DJ Premier, blogged that Guru is “fighting for his life.” Premier also addressed Guru’s medical crisis in a tweet saying: “guru is getting ready for surgery, pray for the best! Pray for Guru yall…hope everything goes well…Till this day #Guru rhymed over 160 DJ Premier produced tracks in his life, more will come…Guru is struggling with a serious health issue. And We appreciate all your love and well wishes.”
Jazz trumpeter Brownman, who played on Guru’s “Jazzmatazz” albums told AllHipHop.com, “After touring the globe standing next to Guru on stage for the last 3 years, I can’t imagine a world without Bald Head Slick.”

Trey Songz Gives His Mom Gold!

When Trey Songz’ “Ready” album went gold, he gave the award to his mother. Songz said, “The first thing I did was give the plaque to my mom, because she sacrificed a lot for me to be able to do what I do.”
Earning that gold album gave Trey Songz the motivation to aim even higher. Songz declares: “I was proud, and this is a stepping stone for me, but it’s a minuscule part of what I want. I take it, I’m very proud of it, I accept it and I’m proud that so many people have taken part in the album, but I’m on to the next.”
Trey Songz is currently opening for Jay-Z on his “Blueprint 3” tour. He’s also planning to go into the studio with Timbaland and Bryan Michael Cox to work on on a follow up to “Ready.”

T.I. Billboard Controversy

A billboard for T.I.’s Akoo clothing line is causing a flap in Newark, New Jersey. The huge ad, which is on display in downtown Newark, shows a woman kneeling in front of a man with his pants unbuckled. Her face is pressed up against his thigh and she’s gripping his pants from behind as if she’s pulling them down. Some local residents and leaders think the ad is inappropriate because it is visible to everyone in the city, including children. Newark City Council president Mildred Crump blasted the billboard saying, “I’m so sick of people seeing Newark as a place where they can do whatever they want. They think they can put it in a black community and nobody is going to say or do anything.”

Lady GaGa Extends Tour!

Lady Gaga’s European tour was supposed to wrap up next Monday, March 8, but Gaga has decided to extend the trek by adding 10 new dates in May. She’s also making plans to tour the U.S. again this summer – but this time she’ll be playing in major arenas instead of theaters. Lady Gaga’s North American tour will make 30 stops starting in June. We’ll keep you posted on the details when they’re announced.

Kid Cudi Gets Kissed By A Guy!

Kid Cudi was shocked when a male fan jumped onstage and kissed him during a concert last week in L.A.! It happened during Cudi’s cameo appearance with British singer Dan Black. Cudi was doing his part from the remix of Black’s hit, “Symphonies” when a guy from the audience climbed onto the stage and kissed Cudi on the cheek! The rapper tried to back up and move out of the fan’s way, but he couldn’t escape! But Cudi remained calm – he kept performing while security took the man offstage.
Last December Kid Cudi jumped into the audience and punched a fan who had apparently thrown a wallet onto the stage. He later apologized in order to avoid assault charges.

Lil Wayne's Pre Prison Video

Lil Wayne will report to New York’s Rikers Island prison tomorrow to begin his one-year sentence for gun possession. On Saturday he posted a home video on the Internet showing how he’s been working overtime prior to his incarceration. Wayne announces in the video that he was going to film seven videos in one day. In the clip, Weezy says,
“I’mma show y’all the ethic of a true artist. You know what I’m talkin’ about? Seven videos. I shot 10 in two days before. Now we about to do seven in one night. [’Runnin’ ‘] was one. Next we about to do Drake’s song called ‘Afrika Boombatta.’ “
Lil Wayne also promotes his new Twitter page (@liltunechi) and shows off the various awards that he’s won. Wayne tells the camera: “I got a house full of BET Awards. I got one MTV award. MTV, holla atcha boy now. I’m not gonna mess up your function. I’m just gonna come get my award, thank God, thank my ‘hood, thank my fam. I ain’t gotta perform. Give me an award for nothin’. The award for nothin’ goes to Lil Wayne.’ That’s all I need. MTV award for nothin’, man.”
Wayne and DJ Scoob Doo have also been filming Weezy’s DVD reality series “The Nino Brown Story Part 3.” You can see the first two episodes at DJ Scoob Doo’s Web site, www.djscoobdoo.c.om

Lady GaGa Fined!

Lady Gaga has been hit with a $19,000 fine because her concert Friday in London started late and went long. Gaga’s rehearsal on Friday went overtime, causing her to take the stage at the O2 Arena 45 minutes late. Arena execs wanted Gaga to shorten her set, but she refused. As a result, her performance went on 25 minutes past when it was supposed to end. That’s why she was fined.
A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Lady Gaga was still doing her dress rehearsal at 7pm when the doors were supposed to be open and the first support act was due on. She wouldn’t finish rehearsing until she was happy. In the end she was 45 minutes late but refused to cut the set short. She told organiserz she didn’t care about the fine, all she cared about was putting on the best show for her ‘little monsters.’”

Young Berg's Good!

Yung Berg has released a video message to prove that he is alright after a violent incident at his home in L.A. last weekend. Berg was reportedly pistol whipped and robbed by four armed men who entered the rapper’s house around 2 AM Monday morning during a party. Yung Berg does not mention the alleged beating in his video but he shows off his face and body, revealing that he has no bruises, and he says, quote, “What you got to know is I’m fine … there’s nothing wrong with nobody.” Yung Berg adds that he is “still gorgeous.”

Faith Sued!

Faith Evans is being sued for going back on a deal to provide video footage of her late husband, The Notorious B.I.G., to the makers of a documentary. Kaushi Entertainment alleges that Faith accepted $30-thousand for the footage but never handed it over. Kaushi is now suing for $1,000,000.

50 Sued!

50 Cent has been sued for allegedly posting a woman’s private sex video onto the Internet. Lastonia Leviston also claims that 50 added footage of himself narrating the video as the character “Pimpin’ Curly.” Leviston says she and a man named Maurice Murray filmed themselves having sex back in 2008; she says Murray agreed to destroy the video but turned around and sold it to 50 Cent.
50 added the footage and voice over of himself and posted the video as part of his feud with Rick Ross. 50 is seen wearing a purple robe and wig. He refers to Leviston as a “nice little slut” and says that she is Rick’s baby mama. When a man in the video is shown spanking Leviston, 50 can be heard laughing and saying, “Ricky don’t know how to do that!”

Rihanna's Uptempo Album

Rihanna is going to lighten things up for her next project. The “Hard” singer loves the dark edginess of her current album, “Rated R,” but she wants to add some energy and fun to her next set. Talking with MTV Korea, Rihanna said: “I really like the bottom, the grime of it but if I were to combine that with more energetic, up-tempo pop records, then I think that will be a happy marriage. And that’s where we’ll probably go next.”
No word on when Rihanna will start recording her next album, but she may have a couple of collaborators already lined up. Rumor has it that she’ll go into the studio with Ne-Yo and David Guetta.

T.I. Back In The Public

T.I. has been out of the spotlight since his recent release from prison (after doing a year for weapons possession). Well, Tip made his first public and televised appearance Monday night at an Alzheimer’s research benefit in Atlanta. The fundraiser for the charity “For the Love of Our Fathers” was hosted by T.I.’s wife, Tomeka “Tiny” Cottle, and was filmed by BET for the reality show “Tiny and Toya.” T.I. was heard to say, “I am very well, very happy to be seen.”

By the way, that event featured performances by Kandi Burruss, OMG Girlz and Pleasure P.

Kanye Working On New Album

According to reports, Kanye West has been taking time to work on his new album in Hawaii. It’s reportedly going to be called Good Ass Job. The most recent rumor was that Kanye was working on Amber Rose’s debut album - so we hope this new rumor negates that.

Will.I.Am Wont Release MJ's Tracks

Will.I.Am recorded six songs with Michael Jackson before the King of Pop’s unexpected death last June. But he world may never hear those tracks! Will says, “I’m not gonna release it. I don’t think it’s fair to release unfinished material to capitalize on him passing. It’s not right. We didn’t put it out when he was alive so why should we put it out now that he’s gone?”

Lopez Leaves Label

Jennifer Lopez is leaving Epic Records after 11 years with the label. According to Entertainment Weekly, JLo fulfilled her obligation to Epic with her recent singles, “Fresh Out of the Oven” and “Louboutins.” She’s supposedly been working on an album but hasn’t finished. Meanwhile, Jennifer has started negotiating with another, undisclosed label. Lopez will host “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.

Jay-Z Called A Racist?

Kim Dawson, a reporter for the UK’s Daily Star, is claiming that Jay-Z is a racist. Jigga, who won a Best International Male Solo award at the Brit Awards Tuesday night, held his after party at London’s Merah nightclub. According to Dawson, anyone trying to get into Jay’s VIP section who was black got in, while all of the white people got turned away.

“I’ve been to countless showbiz bashes but never have I met meatheads like those at the Jay-Z [party]. Jay-Z is a megastar and yet it was clear white people were not welcome in his VIP area,” Dawson said. “While the red rope was lifted for black guests to breeze through, let’s just say it stayed down if your face didn’t fit. I have never felt so intimidated. It left me feeling like a mauled dog.” Let’s reiterate: Jay-Z is a megastar. He can let into his VIP area whoever he’d like. We’d put our money on Dawson being a disgruntled, self-important tabloid writer before we’d put anything on Jay being a racist. But that’s just because we’re fans.
